Volunteer Opportunities

Food Pantry: Food Pantry is open M, W, F, 9:00am-1:00pm. We will make exceptions for clients who need to come in earlier or later. Volunteers are present to either sack groceries or answer phone calls. We get our food delivered the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Volunteers help unload the food and put it away, located at SFX, Food Pantry Coordinators: Tim Driscoll, Laura Taylor-Driscoll,  Carol Murphy & Therese Roseburrough.

• Christmas Project: Distribution Day is December 17, 2020 from 9:00am – 5:00pm and December 18, 2020 from 9:00am – 1:30pm. 

• Bishop Sullivan Community Kitchen: 4th Tuesday of the month, 4-6:30pm, 3934 Troost Ave, KCMO, Karen Stigers Coordinates

• Justice & Life Committee: 3rd Sunday each month, 9-10:15am, SFX, Romero Room, Steve Bruns is chair person

• Sister Parish Committee: 2nd Tuesday each month, 7-8pm, SFX, Romero Room, Jim Bell is chair person

• Sustainability Committee: every other month at a parishioner’s home on a Friday or Saturday evening, Cindy Schmidt is chair person

• Neighborhood Justice Center: We are seeking additional volunteer attorneys and a part-time volunteer with secretarial experience so that we can expand our services.  If interested, please contact Tom Bradshaw at 816-381-9170 or tbradshaw2111@gmail.com.

• Garden Team: Wednesday evenings (6pm?) and Saturday mornings (9am?). SFX garden, Peg Hornsby is chair person

• House of Abraham Committee: monthly on Wednesdays at 12pm at the Habitat office, Paseo & Linwood, KCMO (which Wednesday is determined the month before), Pastoral Associate attends meetings
