RCIA and Becoming Catholic

RCIA, also known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or the Catechumenate, is the way that those interested in the Catholic Church learn about the faith and join our community.  The process traces its roots back to the earliest days of Christianity.

The process is for…

  • those never baptized who would like to become Catholic.
  • those baptized in another Christian Church who would like to become Catholic.
  • those already baptized as Catholic but who have not receive the Sacraments of Eucharist and/or Confirmation.

Centering Prayer

The Centering Prayer Group meets the third Monday of the month, 7:00-8:30 pm, SFX Chapel. Newcomers welcome. Centering Prayer is a method of prayer in which we experience God's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. Centering Prayer is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer. Rather, it adds depth of meaning to all prayer. To learn more go to  www.contemplativeoutreach.org, For more information, contact SFX parishioner Rebecca Thompson
